My brother, Kyle, called and asked if i could come and stay with them for awhile and help his family out. His sweet wife Lori, got very ill and was in the hospital for over a week. She was and is still very sick and she is scheduled to blast and remove the kidney stones on March 4th. Then after that she will probably have her Gall Bladder out. She is still trying to fight an infection in her blood, and it's really frustrating to her to realize that just because she's home...she's not going to feel better, at least not until sometime in March after these surgeries an procedures.
So I have enjoyed getting to know my nieces and nephew better, their likes and dislikes, routines, carpools, activity schedules, etc. I'm glad I live close enough to be here quickly and be able to relieve some stress for them. So I thought I'd share a couple of pictures with you of our time together so far...and just a quick personal note to my wonderful and fully supportive husband & kids -
Thank you for your unconditional love and for making sure all is well on our home front, that I might be here to help out!

Kyle came in the house and brought in stuff from the hospital and luggage.
This picture is blurry...but when the kids, especially Delaney, saw Lori's luggage...they knew their mommy was home and they took off running!
Lori came in and sat down for awhile and visited with the kids before she tackled the stairs to her room - they had so much to share with her!
Delaney and the kids had their Valentines Day parties at school and pre-school on Friday (same day Lori came home from the hospital) and they all had a lot of treats and loot (see below)
Chloe shared a story she had written with us.
On Sunday, I made sugar cookies with the kids while Lori & Kyle caught up on their sleep and napped after a really bad night. Lori had the cutest "Lip" cookie cutter that we used...you can see them below.
